Chicago

A few weeks ago we drove up to Chicago with the whole family and my mom. Yes, all six of us in a car for 14 hours. So happy my mom came along, it made a world of difference. This was actually the best trip we've had to Chicago so far. While Gabe was in class for a week, the rest of us explored Chicago. The Lincoln Park zoo is free and was in walking distance of us so we went there several times. Very nice for a free zoo. They also have a working farm with a few animals you could pet which the kids enjoyed. We checked out the Nature Museum where they had a butterfly exhibit. The girls loved looking/chasing the butterflies. We also took them to the children's museum. The best two stories of fun for kids that I've seen so far. They had a blast. One day I got brave and took the kids to Millennium Park and "the bean" while my mom did a little shopping. The girls had fun running around and all was going well until I dropped my phone in about a foot of water and then we lost a shoe of Maeve's in a waterway. Praise God my phone dried out and I don't have to replace it and thankfully we had an extra pair of shoes for Maeve. : )

The goat behind Maeve was nibbling on her shirt.

Butterfly exhibit. There were some beautiful butterflies.

The Bean

Can you find us?

Garrison is a little over 2 months now. We have enjoyed every minute, well maybe not the 2 am feedings. : ) Below are a few newborn pics our photographer took when he was a couple of weeks old.
